Evolution of PAPILLON Biometric Terminals: from computers to smartphones
DPP mobile biometric terminals are used by law enforcement agencies. Their main application is instant identity checks in real time.
The product has gone through several versions in its history — from futuristic DPP-1, which processed only fingerprints, to multifunctional DPP-8, from a small-sized computer to a light smartphone.
With each new version, the device decreased in size and increased its functionality.
PAPILLON is now working on a new version of the DPP-8 terminal. Its working prototype allows us to talk about its key advantages:
- Light weight and small dimensions
- Support for different smartphone models
- Ability to perform full-featured biometric registration
- Biometric identification based on fingerprints and facial images
