- Crime scene investigation
- Automation of crime scene technician’s work
HOW IT WORKS:
- Taking photos of latent impressions with the use of the FOSKO kit or smartphone camera
- Generating a search request: typing some necessary text data associated with the case, cropping and setting a scaling bar on the latent print image
- Transmitting the information to PAPILLON AFIS where the image is automatically processed and searches are conducted
- Candidate lists are verified by the AFIS operator and results are returned to the requestor
- Receiving and viewing search results on the smartphone screen
Functional capabilities:

- receiving the results of searches from PAPILLON AFIS:
- brief demographic data (name, date of birth, gender)
- mugshots (if available in the matching tenprint)
PRODUCT INTERACTION
LATOP supports input of latent prints and associated text data in PAPILLON AFIS for matching against database records. The use of FOSKO in conjunction with LATOP enablrd capture of high-quality images of latents.
